More than 520 members of terrorist groups have been killed by government troops in the ongoing conflict in Marawi City.
Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) spokesperson Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla said that as of 7 p.m. on Saturday, government troops have killed 524 militants in the war-torn city.
Meanwhile, a total of 604 firearms have been recovered from the terrorists.
A total of 125 troops have also been killed in action.
Civilians killed was still at 45 while the number of rescued civilians was 1,728..
Five buildings in Marawi City were cleared on Saturday.
President Rodrigo Duterte placed the entire island of Mindanao under a 60-day martial law on May 23, after the ISIS-inspired Maute group attacked and destroyed establishments in Marawi City.
The declaration has been extended by Congress until December 31.
In a speech before troops in Marawi City on Friday, Duterte said the conflict may end soon.
AFP chief General Eduardo Año, meanwhile, said that Duterte has not set a deadline for the military to end the conflict.
